Topical Uses of Medicinal Cannabis

leaf-med-1Cannabis has been used for its medical and non medical applications for thousands of years. The knowledge of medical uses of the plant is believed to have arisen first in Central Asia. One of the oldest applications of the cannabis plant is the topical application of the cannabis salves. Topical application, or applying medicine directly to a part of the body like the skin, has been used as an analgesic for general pain. In addition to its pain relieving properties, topically applied cannabis has been used for anti-bacterial, anti-inflammation, and anti-oxidant properties throughout human history.
